FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to turbo machine rotary shafts sealings. Brush seal comprises seal housing, fixed in enclosing shaft stationary housing, bundles of wires arranged regularly in circle close to each other in plane perpendicular to axis of shaft and secured by one end in sealing casing, and with other end associated with outer cylindrical surface of sealing ring, seat screwed on sleeve with thread cut in direction opposite shaft rotation, fixed on shaft. Bundles of wires are inclined to sealing ring surface in direction of shaft rotation. Seal housing is made of bent profile or from thick-wall tube with through slot. Bundles of wires are made of cable sections one-sided lay with linear contact of wires in cable. Described is structural relationship of sealing elements parameters and their materials. Wear rate of surfaces of conjugated elements of seal is reduced and reliability is increased. Also described is method of brush seal producing.
EFFECT: method significantly reduces volume of manual labour at fabrication of wire brush sealing.
