FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to chemical, petrochemical and oil industry, in particular, to separation of gases for oxidation of bitumen production. Method consists in that gases from oxidation reactor for oxidation of bitumen are fed into separator with separating partition and fixed on it device for condensation of heavy hydrocarbons from exhaust gases of oxidation-blind plate, part of raw material oxidation zone above blind plate, wherein separator above partition wall additionally installed vertically located drop catcher in form of a multilayer screen, on which a pulse is supplied liquid phase for washing mesh diameter, wherein from bottom of separator is discharged mixture of heavy hydrocarbons from hydrocarbon gas oxidation with oxidation material, which is then fed into oxidation reactor.
EFFECT: invention reduces loss of liquid phase and provides possibility of using liquid phase as material for producing oxidised bitumen.
