FIELD: hydroacoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydroacoustics and can be used for hydroacoustic providing of vessels torpedo counteracting protection. For hydroacoustic provision of ship torpedo counteracting protection include detection of torpedo noise emission and reception of hydroacoustic station with variable depth towed antenna, generating torpedo motion prediction data, calculation of firing data for self-defence facilities and generation of evasive action. Detected signal is supplied to display of operator's panel, in which torpedo hazard signal is generated and drifting acoustic trap drop is performed. Acoustic trap operates in noise radiation mode of imitated ship. As towed antenna of variable depth multi-channel antenna with static fan from N direction patterns is used. Time of torpedo homing system signals receiving and time of reception of signal emitted by the acoustic trap are recorded. Determining time interval between torpedo homing signal reception and moment of imitating signal reception.

EFFECT: simplified system of torpedo counteracting ship protection.
