FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of sorption materials and can be used for extraction and separation of precious and heavy metals. Method for synthesis of complexing sorbent is carried out as follows. Powder is treated with a copolymer of styrene and divinyl benzene, containing amino groups, bromo-succinic acid solution in presence of sodium hydroxide while boiling. Mixture is added to hydrobromic acid, obtained solid phase is separated, washed and dried.
EFFECT: invention provides higher sorption capacity of product with respect to metals of up to 3 mmol/g.
