FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technique for generation of gas-drop jets of increased range and can be used in fire engineering, in agriculture for irrigation and other industries. Swirl atomizer comprises fluid and gas supply systems and a nozzle. Fluid supply system is realized in two directions, including axial supply of fluid via a feed branch pipe and the series-connected and coaxial with them confusor and cylindrical nozzle. Liquid is tangentially supplied through a coaxial, with a cylindrical nozzle, body in the shape of a cylinder-conic sleeve. On the cylindrical part of the sleeve there is fixed a circular swirl chamber with a branch for supply of fluid. On edges of the circular chamber there are made two rows of liquid supplying tangential channels. In each row there are at least three tangential channels connecting the circular chamber with the cylindrical cavity of the chamber, to which there is coaxially fixed a round plate. Round plate is located perpendicular to the axis of the swirl circular chamber and is rigidly connected to the cylindrical part of the chamber in its end section. Perpendicular to the round plate there is attached a slotted nozzle which is a combination of two mutually perpendicular rectangular parallelepipeds with throttle through holes of rectangular section, connected to the body cavity. Coaxially to the peripheral part of the round plate there is a two-phase flow spreader made in the form of a perforated conical surface covering the slotted nozzle with throttle through holes of rectangular section connected to the body cavity.
EFFECT: there is ensured a higher efficiency of formation of a gas-droplet jet and a wider zone of its supply.
