FIELD: oil industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to simulation of separators separating water from oil, and more particularly to a method of testing heat extraction. Disclosed is a simulator of thermal separation of phases and test method of chemical substances. Simulator comprises rotary magazine with annular heating unit (10) installed with possibility of rotation on a base (20). Rotary magazine comprises annular row of test cells (12) for reception of multiple test bottles (60), a set of heating elements (14) and a thermocouple (15) arranged between said cells. Each cell has a channel (40) and vertical slot (24), located outside for visual observation or display vertical sample flask. Lighting source (41) is combined with a channel for illumination of each cell in response to turn rotary magazine. Method involves adding a fluid medium with mixed phase into multiple bottles, adding chemical substance in each bottle and simulation of thermal phase separation. Image of fluid medium in each vial is captured and analysed to determine effectiveness of at least one chemical substance.
EFFECT: invention enables simultaneous testing of multiple chemical substances using recently produced emulsion, actual temperature of process, mixing, duration, adding and extraction of fluid medium.
