FIELD: motors.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to systems and methods for controlling electric motors, namely to systems and methods for limiting the maximum DC (MDC). System comprises: a refrigerant compressor comprising an electric motor. Current sensor which measures electric current supplied to the motor. Switching device adapted to opening and closing to allow and stop the flow of electrical current to the motor. Limiting device (LD), which is characterized by resistance, corresponding to the maximum DC motor for. Motor protection module to establish a connection with the device restrictions LD, the current sensor and the switching device. To determine a first value of LD for the motor, depending on the resistance of limiting device LD. To selectively establish a predetermined MDC equal to first MDC and first control switching device based on a comparison of the electric current supplied to the motor, and the specified MDC. It is also provided a method of MDC restrictions on the device.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows you to limit the maximum DC current.
