FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural machinery, namely to methods of automatic control of light-temperature mode in greenhouses or other structures of protected ground. According to suggested method in definite time intervals there are measured: temperature, illumination, air humidity in the greenhouse, age of plants, photoperiod set for operation of extra-illuminating equipment. Average last-night temperature is calculated and with due allowance the computer computes and sets multidimensional optimal values of temperature and illumination. For pulse operation of extra-illuminating equipment taking into account the measured total radiation and overall illumination values the computer computes and sets the multidimensional optimal values of total radiation and time of illumination which identifies operating period of lighting equipment as well as time of dark period corresponding to equipment standby. If dark period exceeds one hour, the air temperature in the greenhouse is reduced up to optimum and calculated values set by computer according to measured readings. Due to pulse operation of extra-illuminating equipment it is possible to save energy.

EFFECT: method provides the effective use of light and heat energy, which increases plant productivity and reducing their vegetation period before fruiting.
