SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agricultural industry. Insecticide composition is characterised by presence of insecticide active ingredient and one or several alkoxylated fatty amines of formula:

which are present in composition in amount from 0.1 to 1.0 vol%. Composition is used in method of control populations of insects by application on outer foliage cultures of plants.
EFFECT: proposed composition has high activity of penetration into leaf cover plants insecticides, considerably increases effect of insecticides when used on outer foliage plants, which increases percentage of death of fed insects, which are usually deeply protected inside tissue structures of plant.
