FIELD: instrumentation; shipbuilding; acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: device includes a detachable oil-filled submerged cylindrical housing accommodating an electric motor and a mechanical driver. Power supply unit and programmable control unit are installed in the ship unit. Underwater part of the housing is sound transparent and is equipped with removable end covers; at that, a top cover has a cylindrical hole. Electric motor, by means of a coupling, is connected with the mechanical driver. Driver comprises a shaft and two eccentric devices representing two parallel disks with hubs secured on the shaft of the driver, and bearings, axes of which are rigidly fixed in the disks. Driver shaft is arranged in end bearings. Device includes vertical and horizontal guides. Radiating element is made in the shape of four concave thin-wall cylindrical segments with an opening angle of 90°. Between end horizontal surfaces of the thin-wall cylindrical segments and their horizontal guides there are arranged elastic gaskets. Between the upper and lower parts of the housing there are installed sealing gaskets.
EFFECT: increase in reliability of simulating sound radiation of underwater moving objects.
