FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pipeline transport and can be used for electric disconnection of pipelines and/or their sections with electrochemical protection. Method involves putting an internal dielectric element into an electrically insulating joint. Said dielectric element is also tightly applied on internal surface of pipeline section having external electrochemical protection. Internal surface of separate parts of pipeline section having external electrochemical protection, may be fitted with separate dielectric elements, which are tightly connected to each other and with dielectric element of electrically insulating joint with dielectric material or dielectric inserts. Total length of common dielectric element or dielectric elements of parts of pipeline section with outer electrochemical protection enables to eliminate leakage current of protection potential along pumped electroconductive medium or reduce it to such a value where internal corrosion of electrically insulating joint progresses longer than service life of whole pipeline.
EFFECT: invention increases service life of ensuring electrically insulation joints due to exclusion of internal corrosion or slowing down thereof.
