FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to transport engineering and relates to systems to ensure passive safety of occupants during rollover in transverse plane. Device for increasing strength of vehicle body during overturn includes a rollover sensor of angular position of vehicle, connected to a DC power source - battery. In presence of a signal, battery is connected to pyrotechnical gas generator with a pneumatic cylinder, which pushes rod moving inside a guide built into seat frame until it touches support assembly and locking spring clamps in pneumatic cylinder.
EFFECT: increasing internal passive safety while maintaining vehicle storage space.
