FIELD: communication.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication. Disclosed is a communication apparatus to which a telephone line can be connected, apparatus comprising: a first determination unit configured to determine, based on a change amount of a line direct-current voltage from telephone line per time period, whether line direct-current voltage is stable; a second determination unit configured to determine whether line direct-current voltage from telephone line is a first threshold or lower; and a third determination unit configured to, if first determination unit determines that line direct-current voltage is stable and if second determination unit determines that line direct-current voltage is first threshold or lower, determine that external telephone has captured telephone line.
EFFECT: technical result is reduction of false detection, which can be carried out, when a change of direct-current voltage line due to reasons, different from busy/occupation of external telephone line.
