SUBSTANCE: high-frequency signal is supplied to the modulator formed by four-pole network, controlled two-electrode nonlinear element, source of control low-frequency signal and load, amplitude and phase of high-frequency signal are changed by change of amplitude of the control low-frequency signal on the nonlinear element, while the pre-set dependences of the ratios of modules and difference of phases of transmission function of the modulator and the pre-set dependences of the modules and phase of transmission function of the modulator from amplitude of the control low-frequency signal are provided at the expense of selection of dependence of an element of the resistance matrix of the complex four-pole network from frequency by means of the pre-set mathematical expressions.
EFFECT: amplitude and phase modulation of high-frequency signal at pre-set dependences of the ratio of modules and phase difference of the transfer function of the modulator in two states of the controlled nonlinear element, defined by two levels of the low-frequency control signal.
