FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of producing composite materials containing aluminium oxide and mixed oxides of cerium and zirconium (and, optionally, rare-earth element), which includes the following steps: (a) preparation of suspension containing boehmite as aluminium oxide precursor, and setting value of pH in range from 8 to 11.5; (b) preparing of aqueous solution of metal salts containing metal salts of cerium and zirconium; (c) combination of suspension from step (a) with solution of salts of metals from step (b) at temperature of from 5 °C to 95 °C or on obtained suspension such temperatures; (d) extraction of solid substance from step (c); and (e) calcining the solid substance from step (d), wherein i) bemits obtained in suspension at step (a), are located in aqueous suspension and modified with organic compounds which contain at least one carboxy group (-COO or-COOH) and one or more additional groups selected from hydroxy-(-OH), oxo-(O), carboxy (-COO or -COOH) and/or amino-(-NH or NH2) groups; or ii) suspension from step (c) in aqueous medium hydrothermally aged at temperature equal to at least of 90 °C, and for at least 1 hour, or iii) is used both in compliance with i) and ii).
EFFECT: invention also relates to Al/Ce/Zr-oxide composites for use as catalyst support and having high thermal stability.
