FIELD: transport; machine building.
SUBSTANCE: for absorption of impact energy between railroad cars, absorbing devices are employed located between them, wherein friction assembly is jammed and moves in case of collision. After certain movement friction assemblies are unjammed, after gaining clearance between them and appropriate support platforms of double wedges, relative to which friction assemblies are movably arranged in each absorbing device, and therewith they are engaged by wedge surfaces. Absorbing device comprises housing (11). In its neck (12) friction unit is placed consisting of pressure wedges (13) connected with internal friction plates (14), which are connected with external friction plates (15) connected with the housing. At bottom (16) of housing there is damper. Friction plates are stopped by thrust wedge surface (27) of double wedges (26), which are located closer to bottom of housing, are equipped with support platforms (29), and are stopped by thrust wedge surfaces (28) made upon housing wall, wherein between support platforms of double wedges and friction unit gap L is formed.
EFFECT: higher reliability of collision energy absorption in railroad cars, higher power consumption, and reliability of absorbing device installed therebetween.
