FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to opaque multilayer container having light shielding properties. Container made by blow moulding preforms or injection-blow moulding and preferably intended for light-sensitive materials includes at least two layers of thermoplastic material with opacifiers, dispersed in any of layers of thermoplastic material, wherein said thermoplastic material in all layers is polyethylene terephthalate (PET) and includes turbidity at least in one of these layers, metal aluminium (Al) and light absorber dispersed in thermoplastic matrix.
EFFECT: possibility to achieve virtually complete protection at any wavelength of the optical spectrum with much lower amounts of filler than usually were used to present time.
