FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy and can be applied to production of cast billets in machine building. Device comprises mold, secured on vibratory plate by means of bolts and nuts, eccentric type vibrator fitted on lower side of vibratory plate. Heads of bolts are made protruding above bottom of mould by 20 mm. Vibratory plate is installed on base by means of guide rods with springs. Melted metal poured in mold is subjected to vibration treatment during its solidification. Heads of bolts are seized by hardening metal crust and provide direct transfer of vibrations from vibratory plate to ingot.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of vibration impact upon processes of crystallisation and forming structure of ingot.
