FIELD: mining.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mining industry, in particular to rock development using mechanical tillage of, for example, coal beds. Method involves a drilling of blast holes in hard overburden rocks covering the coal bed to the formation, their charging and blasting with air cushion, removing the covering rock after explosive tillage, mechanical tillage and dozering the coal bed, its stacking and loading into transport vehicles, this method is characterised by that the explosive wells is reamed in overburden rocks underlying the coal bed through the coal bed, charges with a plug with height of at least 5 diameters of the well are placed in them, the distance between the explosive wells in the row and between rows of the wells is taken equal to value of resistance at bottom, and length of the explosive charge in them is calculated by empirical formula, and mass explosion is performed well by well by the system of non-electric initiation on clamp from muck.

EFFECT: higher efficiency and safety of selective development of the coal beds group due to simultaneous gross explosive tillage of overburden rock covering and underlying the coal beds keeping structure and position of the coal beds in space.
