FIELD: construction.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to construction of civil and industrial facilities in cryolite zone in order to ensure their reliability. Thermal siphon includes condenser, evaporator and transit area between them in form of round on both sides blind pipe, vertically installed and immersed at a depth of evaporator in soil, from pipe air is pumped out, instead cavity is filled with ammonia, part of cavity is filled with liquid ammonia, remaining volume is filled with saturated ammonia vapour. Diameter of pipe is 33.7×3.5 mm, in evaporator along axis of symmetry of pipe is installed coaxially inner tube of diameter 20×2 mm from material with low coefficient of thermal conductivity. Filling degree of thermal siphon with ammonia is 0.45-0.85 (ratio of volume of liquid to total internal volume of pipe). At bottom inner tube on length 600 mm is perforated with six holes with diameter of 10 mm, length of thermal siphon of 10-16 m, level of ammonia in evaporator above inner tube end not less than 0.1 m, condenser with a finned heat exchange surface area 2.44 m2, length of finned tube 1.18 m, diameter of finning 67 mm.
EFFECT: high reliability of thermal siphon filled with ammonia, providing lower temperature of cooled soil and heat exchange intensity with simple design.
