FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to petroleum engineering and is designed as a check valve for use with submersible sucker-rod pumps or electric-centrifugal pumps intended primarily for pumping fluids with high content of mechanical impurities. Ball check valve includes a hollow steel cylinder housing with inner annular stud, a valve pair made as a circular saddle with a ball locking element, the locking element end stop in the form of a cage with through apertures for the fluid flow fixed in the housing cavity by means of a stopper ring. Saddle is installed in the housing on one side of the annular stud at the valve inlet. Cage is installed on the other side of the annular stud. Saddle is fixed with the help of a nut and a thread bushing. Inner diameter of the cage exceeds the ball diameter by no more than 1.5 %. Depth of the cage from the inner side provides the ball stroke of not more than one ball diameter. In the inlet part of the cage an expansion is made to prevent the ball stuck at the valve opening. There is a version of the ball check valve design.
EFFECT: group of inventions is aimed at improvement of safety factor and reliability of the check valve by reduction of inertia and maximum stroke value of the ball locking element.
