FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to measurements for research or analysis of movement of human body or its parts for diagnostic purposes, particularly for determining the type of activities. This method provides signals recorded from three-component accelerometer fixed on the human body following with calculation of acceleration vector module, temporary array of values of acceleration vector and its extrema. Then successively from extremum to extremum, counting the number of extreme values equal to the reference value of extremum number of at least one reference formed beforehand for a defined type of physical activity, duration of separate movements is determined and within each separate movement a value of difference between adjacent peaks of acceleration vector is determined, which is then compared with reference values of duration of movement and the difference between adjacent peaks of acceleration vector corresponding to the standard. Comparison results are evaluated to make a decision on a certain type of physical activity. Device for determining the type of motion activity comprises three-component accelerometer, made with possibility of being fixed on the human body and generating signals corresponding to acceleration vector projections influencing at accelerometer on three orthogonal axes in space and connected to outputs of the accelerometer computing device configured to make decision on a certain type of motion activity in compliance with algorithm method.
EFFECT: using the group of inventions allows improving reliability of determining the type of human body motion activity.
