FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to controlling actuators of metal cutting machines, having at least three degrees of freedom. Device comprises a positioning unit, a measuring unit for determining spatial position of actuator and a control unit intended for processing data of measurement unit and supply of command for positioning unit. Measuring unit is composed of at least three measuring markers located on actuator, and photographic cameras for capturing images of markers in an amount of n = i + 5, where n is number of cameras, i is number of degrees of freedom of actuating element. Photographic cameras are installed outside working zone to form vertices of regular polyhedron with number of vertices equal to n.
EFFECT: invention increases accuracy of positioning actuating element.
