SUBSTANCE: invention relates to shock testing and, more particularly, to systems and methods for simulating high intensity pyrotechnic shock in a component or article under test. System for simulating a pyrotechnic shock may include an electrical power amplifier, a shaker, and a resonance beam. Electrical power amplifier is configured to amplify a transient signal waveform representing a desired shock response spectrum. Desired shock represents a spectrum of the transient signal waveform at different frequencies. Shaker is configured to generate a shock pulse in response to the amplified signal waveform. Resonance beam is mounted to the shaker and configured to magnify the shock pulse.
EFFECT: technical result is simulating high intensity pyrotechnic shock with a desired shock response spectrum enveloping several different shock events with varying frequency content.
