SUBSTANCE: side structure of the vehicle including a side portion extending in the longitudinal direction. The side portion contains a first element extending in the longitudinal direction and a second element extending in the longitudinal direction. The first element is configured to face the inside of the vehicle, and the second element is configured to face the outside of the vehicle. The first and second elements are connected to each other to form a substantially enclosed space between them. The side portion contains two wave-shaped reinforcing elements located in a substantially enclosed space. The reinforcing elements are attached to each other.
EFFECT: improved side impact absorption is achieved.
