FIELD: agriculture; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing mineral acid with carbon-containing substance without additional heating to produce high-porous matrix of activated carbon, impregnated with inorganic acid. Initial carbon-containing substance includes wood, subjected to fermentation or prepared in form of animal manure compost, peat-moss, straw, municipal solid wastes containing manure from cattle bedding materials, and nut shells, coconut fibre, coal coke or oil coke. After treatment with mineral acid, acid converted in a matrix of activated carbon into a corresponding salt by treatment of activated matrix with ammonia gas.

EFFECT: disclosed is a method of producing fertiliser containing a matrix of activated carbon impregnated with salt of inorganic acid.
