FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used in converting equipment. In regulating device for asynchronous motor switching overvoltage protection circuits are introduced in polar capacitor filter, a switching transistor and two isolation diodes intended for connection of polar capacitor filter in parallel to inductive elements of device. Due to said running filter capacitor is transferred into mode of damping element, promoting smooth for switching of load current without accumulation of charge plates, which eliminates increasing level of switching overvoltage without excessive electromagnetic energy switching in discharge resistor.
EFFECT: technical result is improved reliability of ballast due to reduction of switching overvoltage without accompanying increase of losses of electric power and reducing efficiency of electric drive.
