FIELD: packaging industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a multi-section package for consumed products, and a corresponding method of changing shape and use of said package, especially package for products of chewing gum and other confectionery products. Package (10) for storing and dispensing consumable products includes:first compartment (20) and a second compartment (30) that are pivotally attached by first connection member (40) such as a perforated hinge, and second connection member (52, 54, 56) that is removably attached to compartments (20, 30). In a preferred embodiment, second connection member includes tear-strip (52) with one or more lines of weakness (60, 62). Also described is a method of changing configuration of package and use thereof.
EFFECT: package is provided, which is convenient as a portable container and whose configuration can be changed by user to give package more convenient shape or size.
