FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal forming and can be used for production of the rod parts with bulges. Rod is placed in the hole of the matrix to rest on pusher. Rod is upsetting, and bulge is shaping. Matrix consists of two half-matrixes with through axial holes. Half-matrixes are set so that a gap between their end working surfaces does not exceed the height of fixed part and to be located in the area of bulge forming. Upsetting is performed at fixed half-matrixes by an action on the rod end by male die. Bulge is formed with required shape and dimensions by combined action on it of male die and half-matrix.
EFFECT: as a result increase of quality of manufactured parts and expansion of their assortment is provided.
