FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering. Power supply device includes housing (1), in which there is at least one chemical current source (2), which can be made in the form of a battery, leads (3) of different polarity of which are connected with placed on the side surface of housing (1) corresponding lead contacts (4), (5) forming at least two pairs of such contacts of different polarity. Herewith on each of end faces of housing (1) there can be placed at least one pair of additional lead contacts (6), (7) of different polarity. Location and topology of lead contacts (4), (5) and additional lead contacts (6), (7) are selected to allow their electric contact with appropriate receiving contacts of the electronic device at installation of the device into the power supply compartment regardless of the orientation of the device relative to the receiving contacts. Each of the lead contacts (4), (5) is made in the form of a strip embracing at least part of the side surface of housing (1) and forming a figure, the longitudinal axis of which is oriented along the longitudinal axis of housing (1), herewith lead contacts (4), (5) of the same polarity of different pairs are located at an equal distance from the central plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of housing (1).
EFFECT: such design of the device ensures increased reliability of electric contact of the lead contacts with the receiving contacts regardless of the orientation of the device in the power supply section, which is the technical result of the invention.
