FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hunting bullets and is intended for firing at big game from smooth-bore weapon. Bullet comprises a hollow casing inside of which with help of steel bearing is installed with possibility of rotation of oncoming air rotor, on which there is an additional element in form of three blades. Housing of bullet is made of plastic, and inner cavity of casing in upper part is cylindrical and has stepped transition to narrowing in lower part in form of truncated cone. Diameter of casing is 0.1-0.4 mm larger than diameter of gun barrel. Rotor is made in form of a solid cylinder made of brass. On its upper part in cylindrical part of casing there are series and symmetrically along circumference of three blades in form of three-dimensional polygonal lobes with cylindrical outer surface and sharp outer edges. Making part of cavity in casing cylindrical enables to place massive rotor blades therein, due to which rotor is spun from flow of oncoming air relative to external plastic casing of bullet, and narrowing to lower part in form of truncated cone creates a dense air jet, performing role of guide which additionally stabilises motion of bullet. Upon hitting target it splits into components, thereby increasing hitting effect. Making casing from plastic and with larger outer diameter than diameter of barrel, considerably reduces friction force during passage of bullet through barrel and increases muzzle velocity. During movement of bullet and rotation of rotor massive rotor blades feed oncoming air to bearing balls and rotate it, due to which bearing spins outer and inner parts of bullet in different directions, creating a gyroscopic effect, which allows bullet to retain stable balance throughout flight of bullet. During firing through reed, cane, fine shrub sharp outer edges of blades rotating rotor cut off obstacle, which reduces ricochet.
EFFECT: invention allows to create a bullet, not requiring additional control, providing firing range and shooting accuracy.
