FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and is aimed at differential diagnosis of salmonella and alcohol gastroenteritis. Method includes determining overall cholesterol level in blood and if value is lower than 6.5 mmol/l, salmonella gastroenteritis is diagnosed, and if values are higher than 7.5 mmol/l, alcoholic gastroenteritis is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides more accurate differential diagnosis of salmonella and alcohol gastroenteritis.
