FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to virology and can be used in infectious and multidisciplinary medical institutions as a method for instant diagnosis of rotavirus antigen in patients of any age with acute gastroenteritis. This method comprises placing patient's fecal masses on the tip of the plastic probe in the side window of the test system cassette, by means of the express immunochromatographic study, adding 8 drops of standard buffer solution, then the test material is kept in a thermostat for 2-3 minutes on a shaker at 37°C and in the presence of a homogeneous dispersion medium and formation of two parallel vertical bands, one red, other green, the rotavirus is diagnosed.
EFFECT: invention provides an informative and accelerated obtaining the result of an immunochromatographic study for the diagnosis of rotavirus antigens in patient's fecal masses with acute gastroenteritis by qualitative evaluation criteria while maintaining the accuracy of the result.
