SUBSTANCE: invention refers to machine building and can be used for strapping of reinforcement bars. Machine comprises housing, device for twisting wire, chamber made in housing, and a coil for wire detachable installed in chamber. On one of two side walls of chamber there is a transmitting photo sensor having light-emitting element. On other of two side walls of chamber there is a light-receiving element. In coil there are multiple light transmissive sections for transmission of light from radiating element. Machine contains reel rotation control circuit operating using information on amount of light transmissive sections detected photo sensor during rotation of coil.
