FIELD: engines.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of gear wheels used in gearboxes of jet turbine engines. Gear wheel (26) passes in axial direction and in radial direction and comprises radial disc (30) bearing axial annular rim (34). Rim (34) is equipped with teeth (40). Disc (30) has a truncated-conical shape and is equipped with damping device (42) consisting of layer (44) of viscoelastic material and support layer (46). Layer (44) of viscoelastic material is located axially between radial disc (30) and supporting layer (46) and is attached directly to disc (30). Layer (44) of viscoelastic material is cured at radial disc (30) or is glued thereto.

EFFECT: improved weight and size characteristics of gear wheel while maintaining sufficient oscillation damping.
