FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measuring equipment and can be used in comparison with similar frequencies in a wide frequency range and determining the initial difference of these frequencies and instability (and fluctuations) of oscillation frequency of compared sources. Device comprises two channels with the blending machines 1 and 2, on the signal inputs of which Bx1 and Bx2 oscillations are entered from the outputs of compared sources with closely spaced frequencies f1≅f2. Outputs of the blending machines 1 and 2 are connected to the inputs of series-connected filters 3 with amplifier 5 and filter 4 with amplifier 6. Outputs of said amplifiers are connected to the inputs of the third mixer 7, output of which is connected to the output of the disclosed device via low-pass filter 8 and low-frequency amplifier 9. Heterodyne signals are generated in the frequency shift unit (FSU) of heterodyne oscillations, which includes two-phase self-oscillator of quadrature oscillations 10 by the patent of RF [9], two outputs of which are connected to the inputs of analogue multipliers 14 and 15. FCU also includes series-connected support quartz generator (SQG) 11, frequency divider (FD) 12 and phase splitter (PS) 13, outputs of which are connected to the other inputs of the multipliers 14 and 15. Outputs of these multipliers 14 and 15 are connected to the inputs of the adder 16. One output DFAG 10 is also connected to the input of the generator of harmonic components GG17, its output is connected to heterodyne input Cm1 1, and the output of adder 16 FSU is connected to the input of the same harmonic components generator GG2 18, the output of which is connected to heterodyne input of the second blending machine Cm2 2.
EFFECT: technical result consists in range expansion of compared sources frequencies due to use for generating heterodyne signals of tunable two-phase self-contained generator.
