SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering. System for selection of means of interception of data transmitted over a network includes an installation means intended for installation of available means of interception and modification of the operational system parameters, herewith the interception means are a proxy server, a VPN client, a firewall; a data collection means intended to define at least: a type of transmission of the data transmitted over the network, transmission parameters of the data transmitted over the network, environment parameters; and their transfer to the analysis means; an analysis means intended to define characteristics of at least one installed data interception means, which operation provides a set safety level of the intercepted data using parameters defined by the data collection means, and transfer them to the selection means; a means for selection of a data interception means satisfying the characteristics obtained from the analysis means.
EFFECT: technical result is more secure data transmission over a network.
