FIELD: lighting.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to polychromatic white light sources, which consist of at least two different colour emitters, such as groups of light-emitting diodes (LED). Here disclosed are spectral intensity distributions and relative partial radiant fluxes of colour emitters enabling control over the ability to colour saturation of the generated light, namely the ability to transfer colours with higher saturation and the ability to transfer colours with lower saturation. Here also disclosed is a method for dynamic adjustment of the ability to saturate the colour of the generated light.
EFFECT: proposed are polychromatic white light sources.
