FIELD: laser engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solid-state lasers with diode pumping of high capacity, in particular, to pumping elements and their cooling systems. High-power optical amplifier head with end diode pumping of active element in form of a plate has a diode pumping unit with pumping elements, active element in form of a plate and cooling system, comprising a cooling channel of active element, pumping elements arranged in form of a sphere, centre of which coincides with centre of active element. Active element is installed in a limiting frame, cooling system is composed of two independent circuits for cooling of active element and pumping elements, each of which is located in housing of active element and diode pumping unit respectively.
EFFECT: technical result consists in high pumping efficiency.
