FIELD: rubber industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an adhesion promoter based on natural schungite mineral for attaching rubber to reinforcing metal materials, and can be used in production of rubber steel-cord tires. Adhesion promoter based on natural schungite mineral of the Karelian deposit for attaching rubber to reinforcing metal materials is made in the form of finely dispersed powder with particle size of 0.15 mcm to 40 mcm and with specific surface area of 18 to 42 m2/g. During the mixing schungite with cobalt and/or zinc salts, cobalt and/or zinc cations in amount of 1.0 to 12 wt% are deposited on outer surface of schungite particles. Cobalt sulphate is used the cobalt salt, and zinc sulphate is used as the zinc salt.

EFFECT: invention provides higher resistance of rubber-based elastomer materials to thermal-oxidative ageing, higher strength bonding of rubber-based elastomer materials with a brass plated metal cord, high ultimate resistance of SKI-3 rubber-based elastomer materials, high tear resistance of SKI-3 rubber-based elastomer materials.
