FIELD: ship building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building, namely, to a rotary flap column intended for installation on boats and serving to transmit the torque from the engine to the propeller shaft and to control the boat. Rotary flap column for floating facilities includes a horizontal shaft, an upper conical reducer, a vertical shaft, a lower conical reducer and a screw propeller. Lifting mechanism used is a hydraulic cylinder, which is located in the upper part of the column, as well as a cardan shaft and a mechanism of rotation are present, due to which the column body rotates at any angle without a limitation within 360° and provides operation of the ship at astern running without changing rotation of the drive shaft. Column rotation mechanism includes an external stationary housing and a rigidly fixed to it through the upper and the lower bearings internal rotary housing. Rotation mechanism drive is fixed ontop the upper part of the external, stationary housing of the column, and via a gear transmits the rotation force onto a gear, which is rigidly connected with an inner cage of the upper bearing.
EFFECT: provided is efficient control of the boat.
