SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information technology, particularly to a display device with a split screen. Proposed method comprises following steps: obtaining a screen splitting touch signal entered by using a touchscreen, wherein screen splitting touch signal comprises a horizontal slide signal along touchscreen or a vertical slide signal along touchscreen, and dividing, according to horizontal slide signal, a current display area of touchscreen into at least two display windows arranged up and down, or dividing, according to vertical slide signal, a current display area of touchscreen into at least two display windows arranged side by side, obtaining launch signals for at least two applications, launching said applications, wherein all or part of launched applications are separately displayed in one display window from display windows, number N of applications for which launch signals are obtained is greater than number M divided by number of display windows, wherein last N-M launched applications are executed in background.

EFFECT: effective display on a split-screen device.
