Method for controlling a display device comprises steps of displaying a plurality of windows wherein each of the windows includes an execution screen for each of the plurality of applications, as a response to receiving input for generating an icon related to the plurality of applications, checking the window information for each of the plurality of windows and interrupting the display of the plurality of windows, generating a shortcut icon based on the window information, the shortcut icon being generated as an image including corresponding thumbnail images representing a plurality of applications, the execution screens of which are included in the plurality of windows, displaying on a touch screen a shortcut icon for displaying the plurality of windows together, including an execution screen for each of the plurality of applications, and displaying the plurality of windows together on a touch screen based on window information.

EFFECT: technical result is enabling simultaneous execution of multiple applications on a display device.
