SUBSTANCE: invention refers to the field of agriculture, in particular to seed growing. Method of separating latent damaged grain seeds includes primary cleaning and drying. Then from the entire batch of seeds select the mean sample and measure the average size of the seeds, soak in water the whole batch of seeds for 10-15 minutes, then the soaked seeds are removed from water, dried and sorted by size, moreover, the seeds with a size of above average mean sample seed size are considered to be damaged.
EFFECT: present invention allows to improve the quality of separation of damaged seeds from non-damaged ones.
