FIELD: engines.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine construction. Core of the invention is that preliminary heating of a diesel engine fuel is performed within the range from 150 °C to less than 160 °C and from more than 250 °C to 300 °C. Due to heating of the fuel supplied to the engine reduced is rigidity of the diesel engine operation. Use of the proposed method enables to regulate rigidity of the combustion process in a diesel engine at its operation on any selected type of diesel fuel, herewith expanded is the range of used diesel fuels.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability and longer life of the engine.
