FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy, particularly, to purification of nickel laterite leaching effluent. Proposed method comprises adjusting pH of leaching laterite solution containing nickel to the level of from 1.0 to 3.0, contacting nickel laterite leaching solution with adjusted pH with ion-exchange resin containing a bis-picolylamine ion exchange resin to adsorb nickel and copper selectively over bivalent and trivalent iron and cobalt and extraction of nickel.
EFFECT: higher extraction of metals, reduced consumption of reagents.
