FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to novel compounds metal-chalate-bidentate azomethine ligands of 2-N-tosylaminobenzaldehyde and 2-hydroxybenzaldehyde and aralkylamines, specifically to bis-[2-(N-tosylaminobenzylidene)-3′,4′-dimethoxyphenylethyliminate]zinc(II) and bis-[2-(hydroxybenzylidene)-3′,4-dimethoxyphenylethyliminate]zinc(II) of formula I:
where X=NTs (a), X=O (b), Ts=-SO2-C6H4-CH3-p. Novel complexes of zinc - bis-[2-(N-tosylaminobenzylidene)-3′,4′-dimethoxyphenylethyliminate]zinc(II) and bis-[2-(hydroxybenzylidene)-3′,4′-dimethoxyphenylethyliminate]zinc(II), exhibit photoluminescent properties in violet and blue spectrum λfl=427 nm and λfl=442 nm with quantum fluorescence output 0.33 and 0.36 respectively and have thermal stability.
EFFECT: compounds can be used in designing organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) of white and visible light as electroluminescent layers.
