SUBSTANCE: invention generally relates to cloud-based translation methods, particularly, to method and system of cloud translation for a mobile client. Mobile client receives an instruction to perform translation and sends translation request information to a cloud server, wherein the translation request information contains text information and information on the type of translation. Mobile client receives translation result returned from the cloud server. If the cloud server detects that the mobile terminal is connected to the mobile client account with a preset type of communication system and the cloud glossary of this account contains a text, corresponding to the said text information, cloud server returns translation result, stored in cloud glossary. If the cloud server detects that the mobile terminal is not connected to account with a preset type of communication system or mobile terminal is connected to the account, but cloud glossary does not contain a text, corresponding to the said text information, cloud server translates this text information.

EFFECT: higher translation speed due to prevention of excessive repetitive translation.
