In response, a service activation server (206) provides a list of available service providers for that device (302), which is created based on device parameters. The device (302) enables the user (300) to choose a service provider from the list, and a connection is set up between the device (302) and the chosen service provider (208) for creating a service account. The device (302) is configured to use the created service account.
EFFECT: easy creation of service provider accounts and configuration of devices associated with said accounts.
