FIELD: instrument making.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to optical instrument-making and can be used for centering lens in holders at their assembling for cases when the lens are based in holders along flat bevels. Method allows to center the lens relative to the reference axis of the holder at its rotation along both working surfaces of the lens thus increasing the accuracy of centering. For this purpose the holder is equipped with an intermediate part, in which the lens is installed with a radial clearance with its flat bevel onto a flat support flange of the intermediate part, which can incline relative to the main holder around the center of curvature of the spherical surface located in the same plane with the center of curvature of the first working surface of the lens. For alignment with the reference axis of the holder of the first center of curvature of the working surface the lens is moved in the radial direction in the intermediate holder, after which the lens is fixed in the intermediate holder. Second center of curvature of the lens is aligned with the reference axis of the holder by inclination of the intermediate part of the holder around the center of curvature of the spherical surface, after that the intermediate part is fixed in the main holder. Connection of external support flange of the intermediate part of the holder with the support flange of the main holder is carried out by contact of the spherical and the flat surfaces.

EFFECT: technical result is centering the lens relative to the reference axis of the holder at its rotation along both working surfaces of the lens, thus improving the accuracy of centering.
